OCUBIS has a dedicated team of professionals with many years’ experience in the commercial and residential property industries.
Jon has been active in the London property market since launching Foxtons estate agency, which opened its first office in Notting Hill Gate in 1981. He expanded the agency through sales, lettings, property management and financial services to 20+ offices in central London and 1,400 personnel. In 1995 he set up Ocubis, which originated as a luxury service office business with buildings in central London. In 2007, Jon sold Foxtons to a private equity fund. Since then he has expanded Ocubis which now owns a large central London portfolio and develops residential, commercial and retail properties in the capital.
Matt worked with Jon Hunt at Foxtons for 7 years in various roles, including running the property management department with a portfolio of 10,000 residential properties in London. He then worked in Knight Frank’s international residential department before joining Ocubis in 2007. Matt now has responsibility for acquisitions and asset management of commercial and residential investment properties within the Ocubis portfolio.
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Richard has extensive experience in securing planning and the development of properties and sites within both the residential and commercial sectors. After graduating with a First Class Honours degree in Surveying, Richard initially worked for CBRE for over five years advising a variety of banks, funds and property companies on commercial development projects. Whilst here, he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor. Following this, he worked for Palmer Capital Partners overseeing all of their in-house funded development projects, and prior to joining Ocubis in early 2011, Richard was a Director at GL Hearn.
RICHARD SCUTT MRICS
Stephen has followed a career in consulting project management which spanned the likes of BAE Systems and Savills, where he was responsible for delivering major residential, commercial and mixed use schemes for a variety of developers, funds and banks. Stephen was engaged by Land Securities for ten years in their London Portfolio Development Team as a Development Project Director leading significant mixed use schemes across London. Stephen completed his MSc at Reading University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building. Stephen’s role within the Ocubis team as Development Director gives him responsibility for delivering the growing portfolio of projects that are significant in scale.
Will began his career in public affairs, community and media relations working both in-house and within leading agencies for brands including Tesco, Grosvenor and Lend Lease. Will has a degree in law from the University of Southampton and joined Ocubis in 2011. He now leads the marketing department and oversees all media, community and political relations across the group.
PR & MARKETING DIRECTOR
Sarah gained extensive front-of-house and office management experience mainly in the hospitality sector prior to joining Ocubis in 2011 to head up one of the portfolio’s key serviced offices. Since then, she has gone on to create Ocubis’ procurement department including planning, group buying, operational costs and contract management covering the whole group. In 2015, she was promoted to become the COO of serviced offices, managing all aspects of operations.
COO OFFICE PORTFOLIO
Adam has extensive experience in the disposal of commercial property, having started his career with Workspace Group prior to moving to a leading firm of Chartered Surveyors where he advised a variety of funds and property companies. Adam joined Ocubis in 2011 and is responsible for leasing across the portfolio.
Steve began his career in property at Foxtons, rising quickly from negotiator / valuer to manager. By the time be left, he was the company’s overall number two lettings valuer. Steve joined Ocubis in 2009 and has been in the role of corporate sales manager for Pavilion Business Members’ Club, 64 Knightsbridge and Shakespeare House since their respective launches to the market.
HEAD OF SERVICED OFFICE SALES
After graduating with a Computer Science degree from Lancaster University, Julian initially worked for banks and financial services companies on trading systems and information warehouses in London and Tokyo. He was formerly Group IT & Operations Director at IPD and was part of the Board Executive that successfully oversaw the company’s acquisition by MSCI. Julian joined in 2015 and heads up the IT team responsible for all technology aspects across the portfolio.
Steve has over 15 years’ experience within an internal recruitment and HR environment during which time he has worked in many industries including real estate, hospitality and manufacturing. He was formerly Head of Recruitment for Dominvs Group and prior to that was responsible for all UK recruitment for Neopost. Steve, who is originally from New Zealand, joined Ocubis in 2015 and is responsible for recruitment and HR across the Ocubis businesses.
Edward is a qualified Chartered Accountant who joined Ocubis in late 2016 and is responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the finance function across the group. He has over 10 years extensive experience in all aspects of the property business within both the commercial and residential sector. Previous experience has been with the Berkeley Group and more recently a boutique high end central London residential developer. Prior to this he spent five years working in the City: this combined experience gives way to a commercial approach to the finance function underlined with financial control.
